New leadership confirmed for gyro London

LONDON – 11 NOVEMBER 2011]  gyro, the global ideas shop, has confirmed that former Proximity London managing partner, Claire Wright is to become managing director of gyro London.

Previously client services director at CMW, Wright joined gyro’s Chelsea Harbour office last year in the newly created role of client partner with over 20 years’ industry experience.

Wright will join Ian Kerrigan, executive creative director in jointly running the London office. 2011 has been a hugely successful year for gyro’s London team, with it transforming its client-base to now include L’Oreal, FedEx, HP, Heathrow Express and Virgin Atlantic (globally).

Earlier this year, gyro underwent a major global restructure, stripping away each office’s individual ‘profit and loss’ account, in place of one group P+L. Each of the gyro’s 17 hub offices now operates from one set of financial accounts.

Claire Wright replaces Matt Kitcherside, who leaves gyro later this month. Further details are undisclosed.

Wright said, “Today gyro is a new type of agency. In a challenging market, we’ve entirely transformed our creative offering and our many new clients are testament to this success. Ian and I have been tasked with building on this, to deliver an agency with a truly unique cultural DNA and creative fingerprint. We are committed to delivering humanly relevant ideas and I can’t think of a better time to make this a reality at gyro.”
