We’re very particular about the qualities we look for in our people. But our needs are only half the story. Why do the best people choose us, and why do they choose to stay? Our guide is to see things from your point of view. What kind of space does it take, what team spirit do we need, what opportunities can we provide to make you want to do your best work with us for years to come? It really is all about you.
gyro recently hosted the inaugural Coders vs. Cancer, a three-day hackathon that challenged attendees to come up with innovative tools to prevent breast cancer. RYAN BENTIVEGNA, gyro CHICAGO
“Kudos to gyro for nailing that, the ongoing commitment to the UNO culture and providing me with a milestone experience that I will always look back on fondly.”
Education is central to our UNO goals, and we’ve put an extraordinary amount of energy into training. Each year, gyro invites select members of the company’s team who have stood out to take part in The Academy, a three-day workshop that brings together approximately 30 of these next-generation leaders from across the globe. Each Academy breathes new life into our UNO culture.
You don’t have to be at gyro long to realize you’re part of something very different. You can see it in practical ways: the CEO doesn’t have an office, there’s no HQ on our map and very little hierarchy. But mostly it’s something you can feel. There’s a different spirit to the way we work at gyro. Our offices around the world aren’t in competition with each other; they’re there for each other. We talk to each other, we work together and we share all the challenges and triumphs a creative life brings. We call this culture UNO.
Our stated mission is to create ideas that are humanly relevant. And that spirit extends beyond the paid work we do for our clients. We are forever curious about how we can use our talents and our time to help the people around us in the communities where we ply our trade. For us, corporate social responsibility is not an obligation. It’s an opportunity. It enriches our understanding of human nature and makes the work we do far more meaningful.
