gyro is the Dentsu Aegis Network B2B specialist agency and represents clients internationally – as such B2B/International experience is preferable, however not essential if other skills, digital in particular, are strong. This is a client facing Account Management role which will see the successful candidate heavily involved in campaigns with both planning and buying across a range of media channels, with a focus on digital in particular.  

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

COMMUNICATIONS PLANNING AND BUYING

 The successful candidate will:

  • Support the Media Director and Precision Planning Director to set strategy and architect media plans that deliver against objectives
  • Be comfortable owning a brief from end to end including client relationship management
  • Have strong digital background with the ability to analyse data and make planning decisions accordingly
  • Show an exceptional attention to detail
  • Analyze campaign level reporting for optimization and learning
  • Manage systems for forecasting accurate spend and track progress
  • Be able to build client presentations for quarterly reviews
  • Feel comfortable leading weekly client conference calls and coordinating input various campaign activations
  • Ability to interrogate proposals and negotiate rates with key media partners
  • Review client feedback and make optimization recommendations
  • Must be able to review a brief and understand what the clients KPIs are and match to media/tactics
  • Knowledge of modern demand generation techniques including ABM

 

Client & Internal Relationships:

  • Excellent client leadership and management skills for media specific elements of full service accounts and ownership of media-only client relationships working alongside the Media Director
  • Build trusting, collaborative relationships with colleagues both directly with your team, sister agencies and across the wider DAN network
  • Establish a collaborative working relationship with the activation team to ensure a seamless hand-off and on-going communication of plan performance.

Communication Skills:

  • Establish and maintain communications process with your team and client contacts
  • Be comfortable liaising with creative teams and external agencies where necessary
  • Stay up to date client product portfolios
  • Stay up to date with changes in the media landscape
  • Ability to solve issues where required

 

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
  • 3-5 years’ media experience ideally in B2B/International, although not essential. Digital experience a must.
  • Good communications/media planning and buying experience
  • Client service experience
  • Language skills desirable, although not essential
  • Understanding of key research sources and digital tools (e.g. IPSOS IMS, Telmar, Comsore, Integral, Omniture and Atlas)

The Senior Search Strategist will manage search optimization programs across PPC and paid social including strategy, set up, creative development and reporting on multiple projects of various sizes.   The candidate is responsible for understanding client goals and expectations as well as all department deliverables and must be able to clearly convey and explain search engine and social best practices to company associates and clients.

  • Help shape the project management team and implement a newly created workflow model for the local office, ultimately responsible for staffing PM’s to this new model.
  • Lead by example and mentor other PM’s to help enforce our new PM driven workflow model.
  • Represent the local office PM team when collaborating with SVP Operations, regarding North American initiatives related to resource management, project management and project delivery.
  • Represent the NYC office while assisting the SVP Operations in the design, testing and implementation of a new workflow management platform, Workfront.

  • Work with SVP Operations in support of testing and implementation of future Workfront functionality or customizations
  • Help develop custom reporting and dashboards out of Workfront that deliver insights to key management across gyro teams.

  • Create solid project plans and budgets that support both the company’s and client’s interests.
  • Work with account teams to scope projects and ensure that projects are managed according to the statement of work., ultimately responsible for profitability and on-time delivery.

  • Manage project communication and document issues and changes that affect the project.
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain the project scope and communicate status of scope to team members.
  • Engage in and/or lead client facing meetings around project planning, progress reporting, or changes in scope.
  • In collaboration with SVP Operations, enforce, influence and evangelize process improvement initiatives across multiple departments.
  • Ensure that workflow processes are adhered to while communicating and rationalizing any unique needs of the local office to the SVP Operations.
  • Work with department heads to schedule resources and regulate investment of staff time.
  • Regularly communicate status of projects by means of weekly meetings, status reports, and updates.
  • Help to maintain overall quality by ensuring proofing, review and approval of deliverables according to internal routing procedures.

  • Responsible for leading communication strategy and working closely with the Precision Planning Director and Head of Media to ideate and architect media plans that deliver against objectives
  • Accountable for media plan output timeliness, accuracy, and overall excellence
  • A lead role in the process of strategic media planning and serve as a resource for account management and executives for advice and counsel
  • Responsible for ensuring that all budgets and campaign plans are aligned with client budget parameters
  • Understand and champion new techniques and technologies relevant to aid achievement of client’s goals
  • Analyze campaign level reporting for optimization and learning
  • Provide and discuss industry information on media, markets and related dynamics
  • Maintain relationships with media community; continue to develop publisher and higher relationships for exchange of ideas
  • Develop understanding of gyro and broader Dentsu Aegis Network capabilities in order to be able to identify additional solutions, where relevant

Digital Experience:

  • Understanding of programmatic ecosystem and have ability to leverage data to pinpoint audiences and nurture prospects along path to conversion
  • Understand opportunities that various social platforms offer, ideally with ability to activate in the engagement of business audiences
  • Experience with robust reporting frameworks and the tech infrastructure needed to enable them
  • Experience of ad serving/viewability technology

Client & Internal Relationships:

  • Responsible for client leadership and management for media specific elements of full service accounts and full ownership of media-only client relationships
  • Build and maintain trusting, collaborative relationships with clients at appropriate levels
  • Manage expectations of clients and deliverables
  • Accurately represent the client’s point of view when reviewing work, leverage this perspective when providing feedback to team and presenting to client

Strategic Thinking & Leadership:

  • Work alongside Account and Strategy Directors to devise strategic approach

  • Understand and analyse the root causes of problems and develop ways to rectify
  • Ensure key information is provided to team regarding client issues, internal agency issues, changes in account status, etc.

  • Direct the development of client presentations and other important communication that is clear, compelling and persuasive
