London [March 16, 2015] – The newly formed Business Marketing Collective (BMC) is hosting its second successful premier networking event on March 26. “BMC Converge 2015” brings together practitioners from all sides of the industry, providing leadership for B2B marketers whilst enhancing professionalism and enabling greater success for all.
BMC Converge 2015 will kick off with an in-depth discussion about the role of emotion in decision-making in the age of Big Data. The session: “Only Human: The Emotional Logic of Business Decisions” will be led by gyro Manchester’s Head of Planning Martin Tapley and lead Digital Strategist and Planner Belinda Green.
It will focus on new, groundbreaking research from YouGov and the FORTUNE Knowledge Group. Here are some top-level findings:
65% of board level business executives acknowledged the importance of emotions in decision-making.
62% of marketers said they ‘trust their gut,’ first and foremost.
79% of the senior business decision makers surveyed experienced change in their workplace.
These changes triggered a volatile cocktail of emotional responses. Worry, fear and anger were among the top responses as were satisfaction, hope and happiness.
The session will dig deep into the ramifications of these findings and how they affect decision making in the B2B space.
The agenda for the BMC Converge 2015 is as follows:
18:00 – 18:30: Networking drinks
18:30 – 19:00: “Only Human: The Emotional Logic of Business Decisions” led by gyro Manchester
19:00 – 20:00: Speed Networking – Attendees will have exactly one-hour’s face-to-face time with senior B2B leaders.
20:00 – 21:00: Networking drinks and close
