NEW YORK – July 22, 2011 – Building on the unparalleled victories with creative awards in 2011, the gyro network has announced a stream of success across North America, the UK and Europe.

gyro’s UK sister agency Woolley Pau has been awarded two Firsts and four Commendations by the prestigious Pharmaceutical Marketing (PM) Society. They have also secured 6 wins at the IPA Best of Health Awards, for B2B and consumer work, including for professional healthcare film Journey Into The Lung (for a new Teva Pharmaceuticals Europe product).

Meanwhile gyro’s Stockholm marketing agency secured the Gold Sabre Award for the controversial ‘Brothel’ campaign that was designed to reverse the growing trend of support for the legalization of the sex trade. The agency achieved Gold status on the basis of original idea creation – including building a brothel in the center of Sweden’s largest political event – as well as the campaign results. By the end of the campaign, support for the sex law increased by 28% while the proportion opposed went down from 18.2% to 13%.

In North America, gyro’s six offices accumulated an incredible 27 Awards of Excellence – including 4 Best of Categories – at the BMA’s (Business Marketing Association) B2 Awards – one of the oldest (now in its thirty-fifth year) and most well respected business-to-business communications award programs in the industry. gyro’s ‘The weight has been lifted’ campaign for building materials company USG was recognized for its creativity, integrated strategy and media output.
