Global creative awards success for gyro

[NEW YORK – 4 OCTOBER, 2011] – gyro, the b2b agency, swept the board at the annual BtoB Best Awards.

International work from Chicago, Cincinnati and London was represented; gyro won four of a possible 16 categories. This included the highly coveted Best Integrated Campaign. The 2011 show was the most competitive in the award show’s history, with a much higher level of competition from the holding company agencies like Doremus, Ogilvy & Mather, and DDB.

gyro secured more wins than any other competing agency, this included;

• BtoB’s Best – Integrated Campaign (less than $200,000): Scotsman Ice Systems, Cincinnati
• BtoB’s Best – Out of Home: Heathrow Express, London
• BtoB’s Best – Print Campaign (less than $200,000): John Deere, Chicago
• BtoB’s Best – Trade Show: John Deere, Chicago

In addition to the four wins, gyro also received two honorable mentions and two runner-up spots for its USG work.

In commenting about gyro’s four wins, the judges cited the sheer ‘breadth of the campaign’ for Scotsman’s Luv The Nug work. The judges summed up the John Deere work with “WOW”, drawing particular attention to the ‘beautiful’ art direction and copy, “This campaign walks a tightrope, balanced between honoring the forest and celebrating the men and equipment that harvest it.
