Manchester – gyro, the global ideas shop, has appointed Ian Lloyd Jones as planning director of gyro Manchester.
Moving from his prior role as strategy and insight director at McCann Manchester, Jones brings with him a diverse and enviable experience that spans B2B sectors, food, retail, software, betting and gaming, electronics and financial services. Over the course of his illustrious career to date, he has advised numerous clients including Manchester United, Brother, UPS and Virgin, to name a few.
A testament to his credentials as a highly experienced strategist and communications planner, Jones won an IPA Gold Award in 2012 for his work on growth strategy and creative for Aldi supermarkets. Prior to moving agency side, he worked in client-side roles that included marketing director and commercial director in two FTSE 100 Index companies: Hilton Group Plc and RHM Foods, which has since been acquired by Premier Foods.
