CINCINNATI – (June 4, 2009) – Following its recent merger, GyroHSR, world’s largest B2B marketing agency, it has announced Christoph Becker will step into the role of chief creative officer (CCO). Becker will take responsibility for driving GyroHSR’s creative agenda across its international markets.

Becker was most recently chairman and CCO of the New York division of DraftFCB.

“The launch of GyroHSR has seen us take another significant step forward in our international presence, and Chris’ arrival will ensure creative excellence central to everything we do for our clients,” said Richard Glasson, CEO of GyroHSR. “Chris has great experience leading the creative agenda for some of the world’s best agencies, and we look forward to him bringing his energy and ideas to everything we do.”

Becker brings more than 25 years of creative brand-building experience to the CCO role. Under Becker’s leadership, FCB, an 800-person multi-discipline agency, won business from Diet Coke, Motorola and HP. His work has spanned every sector and every discipline, including high-profile campaigns such as “Milk’s favorite cookie” for Oreo and “Above the Influence” an anti-drug campaign for the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy.

“I have always had a firm belief that creative excellence is not a goal but an obligation, and I plan to filter this through the global creative output at GyroHSR,” said Becker. “The agency is on a fantastic upward trajectory, and it’s a great time to get involved. My responsibility is to ensure the creative agenda for the agency matches its growth, scale and reach in terms of ambition and delivery.”

Becker has been recognized by every major creative awards body, and in 2008 was appointed as president of the Dubai Lynx jury. GyroHSR expects Becker’s award-winning creative prowess will bolster its own well-documented creative recognition including the agency’s receipt of a grand CEBA award and an American Marketing Association Effie award. GyroHSR has been named “Top Agency” 14 times in 14 years by Advertising Age’s BtoB magazine, B2B Marketing magazine and the Business Marketing Association International. In addition, its work has been featured on Communications Arts and Graphis.

Tom Rentschler will continue to serve as CCO for North America.

Before FCB, Becker worked at a number of agencies including Ogilvy & Mather in Spain and Bozell in Mexico.
