LONDON – (October 25, 2009) – GyroHSR, the
world’s largest B2B agency has appointed
its latest intern, Hussain Ali. He secured the internship after
competing for the role in GyroHSR’s annual “Pitch Idol”.
a year 11 student at the Ernest Bevin School, competed with two fellow
students to land the role. The students presented their pitches on how
to increase uptake of the Apple iPhone amongst 16-24 year olds to the
UK management team at GyroHSR London. “Hussain landed the role on the
back of his passion for the brief and his hugely creative approach”
commented Natasha Pittman, HR Director, GyroHSR.
pitch idol programme was set up over five years ago to offer a helping
hand to students from the school with an interest in marketing. The
inner-city school helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds,
some of whom have arrived in the UK as refugees.
works with the school as part of its Foundation Programme. The
programme was set up to help charities who work with young people –
organisations like St Giles Trust, Ernest Bevin, Ickle Pickles and
SportsAid. For Ernest Beavin, GyroHSR provides marketing and business
support, to reading mentoring and charity fundraising.
