New York – gyro, the global ideas shop, today named Rick Segal as President Emeritus. In his new role, Segal will continue handling various new business and marketing activities within gyro as he begins to transition to new roles in early 2014 as Vice President for Advancement and Distinguished Lecturer of Commerce and Vocation at Bethlehem College & Seminary, Minneapolis.
Segal will remain of counsel to gyro’s clients and colleagues including industry leaders like gyro Cincinnati President Adryanna Sutherland, gyro Chicago EVP/former Chairman of the Business Marketing Association Mike Hensley and newly appointed Chief Strategy Officer Patrick O’Hara.
Segal has enjoyed a long and distinguished career in b-to-b marketing. In 1981, he co-founded HSR Business to Business, Cincinnati, along with Hensley and others. HSR secured a succession of “Top Agency” honors from 1994-2007. In 2009 HSR Business to Business and Gyro International, London were merged to form GyroHSR, which has since become gyro which he helped to found as well. gyro was named by BtoB magazine as “Top Large Agency,” earlier this year.
